Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation and effectiveness of the MikroTik Graphs feature for network traffic monitoring at PT. Kreatif Global Solusindo. The objective was to analyze daily, weekly, and monthly bandwidth usage patterns critical to the company's operations utilizing the MikroTik RB1100AHx4 device to monitor incoming (In) and outgoing (Out) data traffic on the bridge-local interface. The historical monitoring results reveal a highly consistent pattern, where outgoing (Out) traffic perpetually dominates incoming (In) traffic across all time periods, reflecting high data consumption (Downstream) intensity by users. Furthermore, the network load was identified to surge significantly during office operational hours (09.00–15.00 WIB), with the daily traffic peak reaching 60.10 Mb (Out). The Graphs feature proved effective for historical pattern analysis and detecting post-mortem anomalies. however, the evaluation highlights significant limitations in realtime incident handling due to its manual nature, the absence of an automatic notification system, and the aggregated data, which lacks details for identifying the source of the issue, such as user IP addresses. Therefore, integration with external monitoring tools is recommended for rapid response capabilities
